RIP Suporn Thai

Wheaton is down to three Thai restaurants: Suporn went out of business a couple of weeks ago.  A note on the door from owner Suporn Ringo says after 20 years in that location, he decided to retire.  I’m thinking there is an economic subtext there; the last couple of years have been difficult for many restaurants, and I’ve wondered if Wheaton could really support four Thai restaurants, all in a three block radius, even if all four were good (which they are/were). I’m sorry to see Suporn go; I hope the silver lining will be more customers to go around at Dusit, Nava, and Ruan.

  1. Very, very sad to see it go. Suporn’s was our long-time favorite.
